Replacing the bottom drain

There have been shared sewer lines under our properties since the houses were built. Over the years, rainwater and ground settlement have caused the sewer pipes to slide apart. Stones and gravel can then get into the pipes and cause blockages in the sewer.

The sewers will be replaced by sawing up the floors in the basements, replacing the sewer pipes and then pouring the basement floor again. In connection with this project, we will also repaint the walls and floors in common areas and switch to motion-controlled lighting.

The basements will be considered workplaces during the renovation and there will be limited access to storage. The laundry rooms will also be closed periodically and you can book laundry times in the other laundry rooms in the association.

The sewers under Jakobsgatan 33 have already been replaced and only painting and replacement of lighting will take place there.

The work has already begun and is expected to be fully completed by the end of August

The major parts of this project are:

  • Replacing all bottom drains in the association, including wells. Except for Jakobsgatan 33 where it has already been done.
  • Repainting and replacing lighting in basement corridors and connecting rooms.

This will affect you as members at different times during the project. More details and a description of when which address is affected can be found here:

  • Shorter water and sewer shutdowns will occur, more information will come as shutdowns approach
  • We need access to certain storage rooms and garages
